Who is Fractie Vlijmscherp?
Fractie Vlijmscherp (Political Group razor-sharp) is a student and staff political group within the participation system of the HU University of Applied Sciences. We represent students and staff in the University Council and in various faculty councils.
Participation means that students and staff have a say in and can help decide on policies that directly affect them. Through the University Council and faculty councils, students and staff influence topics such as educational quality, assessment, student wellbeing, facilities, and the strategic direction of the university. These councils form an important counterbalance within HU: they monitor, advise, and actively collaborate with the executive board.
Vlijmscherp does this because we believe that decisions about students and staff should not be made without students or staff. We are committed to a strong, visible, and substantive voice for students and staff critical where necessary, constructive where possible.
